Not shared risk but if you cannot complete an IUI cycle at SGF they will not tell you how much is reimbursed until it happens. Very weird. I am missing a fallopian tube so if ovulation was on the wrong side we would switch, it would be the cost of the two monitoring appointments, pregnancy test, and bloodwork itemized, but they can't give you rates for this. Very shady.

Is this anyone else's experience? Were there other things they charged you for that you weren't expecting? Am I just uniquely bad at reading fine print?

Agreed. The clinical team would just tell you to come to the office without being transparent that such procedure is not covered under shared risk. I always read my contract very carefully and be aware of such exclusions like mock embryo transfers, anesthesia, biopsy, etc. Yet now the billing department claimed any appointments outside of the 30-day time frame from an actual retrieval or FET is not covered under shared risk. So basically if my cycle is canceled, I am responsible for everything up to then. I also realized it the hard way that even if I miscarriage before they graduate me to an OBGYN, I still have to pay for all the betas after the 1st beta.

DE is not comparable to regular IVF. The meds cost hundreds vs. thousands.

I'm doing the shared risk program with Shady Grove Fertility and am pretty frustrated at how I explicitly asked about additional fees (they mentioned the anesthesia fee and the meds) but now that I've paid and started there keep being additional fees that they never told me about.
