I'm an atheist and my cards say Merry Christmas. I send them to all friends and family, even those who are Muslim and Jewish. I know they all celebrate Christmas to a certain degree because they are my friends and family members and I know them. I don't send Christmas cards to people who I don't know well.

Christmas is one holiday during the winter months. It's celebrated one day. On that day I wish everyone a Merry Christmas. My cards say Happy Holidays because that covers Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah, Diwali, etc.

We're Christian but our cards say Happy Holidays because that feels more inclusive for everyone on my list.

I have Merry Christmas and send a different card to our non-Christian friends

Our card said merry Christmas. I didn’t think too much of who would be receiving it, our friends. They know there’s no intention or ill will. We’re not trying to convert them lol.

I'd say "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year". People can ignore the Christmas part.
You celebrate Christmas, so there's that.
I've gotten a "Happy Diwali" card from Indian friends and I have never once thought "but I don't celebrate Diwali". Normally I think "oh how nice".

If you want to wish people a Merry Christmas, just leave the different religions off of the recipient list.

You do whatever you want. We personally say Happy Holidays because we are Agnostic leaning Atheists but enjoy all sentiments we receive.

If you want to say merry Christmas just send it to your Christian friends. I find it odd to be wished merry Xmas when I dont celebrate. I dont mind wishing others merry Xmas but I dont want to be wished merry Xmas.

We are Christian and would much prefer to send a card that says merry Christmas, but live in New York where a lot of the recipients are Jewish or a different religion. Should we stick to happy holidays to be PC? Is it appropriate to send a merry Christmas card to someone who obviously does not celebrate Christmas?
