But nobody should be getting rid of their Teslas because of this.

Harassment? I know so many men who cannot keep their hands to themselves and women. I don't know what world you live in, but it's rather norm.
We had a coworker accuse a man and a woman harassing her within two weeks of her working with us.
Others may make a car, they won't make a computer on wheels. Tesla has no business selling cars to people soon, so don't you worry.
Lots of other vehicle? Can't even get a Japanese right now;

I think the point is that if diversity, equity and inclusion, women's rights, and enlightened liberal politics are such important, life-defining issues that trading in a tesla that's a few years old and taking a hit of few thousand dollars is well worth actually living the beliefs instead of just hypocritical virtue signalling.

People shouldn’t sell their existing cars in light of this new information because that’s not good for the planet. But they shouldn’t buy a second one. It’s of note that a lot of my friends with these cars are the very same people that sneer at other corporations for being anti-is this an anti-that and I would never set foot in a Walmart blah blah blah blah blah. I understand that they were working with the information that they had at the time when they bought a Tesla three years ago.

But they better never challenge me or interrogate me about my choice of potato chips, or the fact that I buy vacuum replacement parts at Walmart

DH wants to buy one and while I’m pushing back (for all sorts of reasons), this is not the same as him voting for Trump. Honestly I would consider divorce if he supported trump because that would mean he actively wants to take away my rights and the rights of marginalized individuals. You have to go through several leaps to get from buying a Tesla to wanting to strip people of human rights and create a Christian ethnostate.

We aren’t going to prematurely sell ours, but we certainly aren’t getting another one.

Fortunately, other car manufacturers are trying to catch up and there will be more and more better options.

Of course this is ludicrous. Plenty of people bought Teslas before Elon lost his mind and because it is an environmentally conscious choice. People aren't going toss their 50-100k car because of this.

My friend to me. Apparently Musk's quick pivot to the right (endorsing DeSantis), sexually harassing a flight attendant on his private jet, being investigated for killing thousands of animals for Neuralink research, and the known issues at the Tesla plant in Fremont (a noose hanging, reports of other hostile work environment conditions) make driving a Tesla about the worst thing you can do in DC. Lot's of other electric vehicles to choose from if that's your thing.
