Give whatever you feel comfortable giving.

When my kids were in elementary, I would give a $25 Target card to their teacher and a $5 Starbucks card to their specials teachers.

At the MS and HS level, I give each teacher a $15 gc.

Kindergarten parent here so bear with me. WHat do folks give for holiday gifts to your kids teacher(s)? My understanding is that you're not supposed to give something that costs more than $25, right? Some parents at our school have also organized a collection pool for school-wide staff, to be used to purchase gift cards for each staff member. So I was thinking of giving maybe $50 to that fund plus a $25 gift card to DC's teacher. Does that make sense?
