There's a chart on page 4 of this regulation showing how the quarter grades are combined into semester grades:

Semester grades are on the transcript. All HS classes are semester-length. The quarter grades are averaged together and in most cases rounded up, so A + B = A.

What will the colleges see in the transcript? Quarter, semester or full year grades?

In MCPS, is the GPA calculated from the quarter grades or are the quarter grades combined (rounded up) into semester grades, A+B=A?
