Because they have very difficult to dig out tubers a d if you break any parts off they spread even more. Herbicide does not work on them. They are invading our gardens we spent a lot of money on planting 100% DMV native plants in.. it is truly annoying how invasive her plants are in our yard. Can she be sued for damages to our property? Or sued to remove her highly invasive, non-native, noxious species of plants that are ruining our yard and choking out native perennials? Ughhhhhh, I just cannot take this damn arum plant anymore. It is remarkable how much it spreads and persists.

But just because it's "invasive" doesn't mean they're responsible for what's on your side. What's on her side, is her choice.
