I don’t understand how to do this. I get a green iced cake from the grocery store and then just arrange these on top? I don’t think I’m artistic enough to make that cute. That will look like a green iced cake with these things stuck on top! Ha ha
I think it’s wonderful that you’re trying to make your daughter’s birthday party special. My experience, however, is that this level of detail doesn’t make much difference. The kids may think it’s cool if the cake fits the general theme (not a requisite), but they’re primarily concerned with the sugar. Similarly, parents will be less concerned with the cake artistry, and more on the sugar buzz their kid will have afterwards.
I think the cake topper idea above (however arranged) is excellent.
An alternative (assuming the kids are old enough not to worry about choking), is to buy some gummy bears and sprinkle them over the top of the cake.
