reading this i have realized that our dog, who we’ve had for 3 years, isn’t registered with the county! we got him about a month before covid and it has never occurred to me! oops!

Nope. He does have a collar with my number on it. He is microchipped. He is licensed with the County. So people can find his status if necessary.

No. Just the one tag with his name and our phone numbers, plus he’s chipped. He only wears his collar on walks.

We used to do this, too, but only because we didn't like the jingling of multiple dog tags. Now there's only one tag and nothing jingles.

Yes, but only wears his collar with tags when he is outside of the house. In the house his collar comes off.

No. My dog has one tag with his name on one side and my cell number on the other side. He doesn't need 3 tags hanging from his neck.

Not anymore because she's 15 and rarely meets other dogs, but yes all the time when she was younger. If she had ever bitten another person or dog (she never did) I would have wanted to show them the tag.

These days we just have a soft collar with a phone number sewn on it.

Yes. On her collar, she has her rabies tag, county tag, and her name with my phone number. She always wears her collar, inside and out, 24-7. It's a martingale collar, fwiw, but it would be the same with a flat collar.
