And many of them barely finish high school.

Strip them of weapons and arm them with education. Detectives should have to study law.

I would think it’s both prosecutors and police who are responsible for not managing criminal behavior. If the two don’t work together it’s no good.

I’m a Texan and just saw this. Horrifying but not surprising. I’m old, and a friend was murdered. Pistol whipped, raped then drowned. No one was ever found guilty and this was in Austin in the early 80’s.

This is on Netflix. My God. So infuriating. That girls and women just disappear and the police shrug. That evidence is not preserved. That women are preyed on in this country like deer in the forest. That some of the victims weren't identified until decades later - DNA tests finally done in 2019!!

And on the heels of this other article that came up in my news feed the other day. All these women, elderly women, murdered, obviously crime victims, and it just went on and on and no one did anything about it!
