I am sure the hormones were a large part of it but the learning how to take care of a baby, dealing with body changes and healing, and of course the sleep deprivation all contribute too. I am curious how those very real aspects will be considered.

Moms, 18-50, are invited to participate in an outpatient research study examining the role of reproductive hormones in postpartum depression. This 7-month study at the NIH Clinical Center includes 30-45 minute appointments every two weeks. You will participate in clinical interviews, psychological testing, mood self-ratings, blood draws and routine laboratory test. Participants must be medication free. Compensation is provided.
