Yes. My otherwise well-behaved, easy preschooler was the biter. On behalf of all biter kids...I'm sorry! It was mortifying and no matter what we tried the only effective solutions seemed to be moving her to a different classroom (changing the environment) and TIME. It's a phase some kids go through. All my friends who've had kids this age either had a biter or a bite-ee. As long as the school is communicating about it I'd stick it out, and just teach your child how to loudly say NO., STOP. or I DON'T LIKE THAT. (if nothing else, it gets the teacher's attention)
Unless you have a 1:1 nanny, biting toddlers are really fast and it can be missed/can't always be prevented.

Ignore pp, they have no idea what they're talking about. Kids go through a biting stage. Sometimes your kid gets bitten, sometimes they are the biter. And, this too shall pass.

How did the bruise happen? Was it a thrown toy? An abusive adult? A kid mimicking what happens to them at home? A kid attacking?
Were the bites from the same child?
How is your kid responding, are they scared, are they just fine, etc

Mine never bit or were bitten in preschools. Its not as common as they want you to believe. It shows lack of supervision while ear bruise suggests harsh discipline. I wouldn't send a kid to a place where not one but three incidents happened, thinking from poor kid's trauma.

Bruised ear is a little weird but biting is incredibly common in preschool. It may be your kid doing the biting in a few weeks. I wouldn't give it a second though, in fact my kid was just bitten on Monday. I trust the teachers and their response (and my kid was the biter for a short period last fall as well, so I have empathy for the parents of current kid)

My kid did get bitten a couple times (and bit at least once) and I sent my kid back without a thought. A bruised ear is a little weirder and more worrying, but I'd probably give it a bit and see what develops.

Depends on the daycare's response. Biting is a thing that happens with very young kids. The question is whether the daycare is responding appropriately.

Would you send your kid back to a daycare where he was bit twice by other kid and once had bruise on ear which looked like it was twisted?
