Remember the guy who flew all the way from Australia to DC, took a bus to Richmond, and walked to a girl's house he had met online on some gaming chat room, and tried breaking down their door and was only stopped when the mother shot him. The girl had no idea the man was coming. Her mother just happened to be home with her.

Nuts.

Cops use to do intense psychological analysis and fail a ton of recruits .. no more.

Do law enforcement not undergo routine background checks and mental health screenings? Hard to believe there were no red flags leading up to this, presumably, pre-meditated and heinous crime.

Pretty Babylon not enough, but many LEOs are pretty scarred from their time on the force. It’s a very mentally stressful job and there is a stigma against those who admit they need help.

I believe it was a few hours. The house was set on fire, fire department arrived, found the bodies in the front foyer, brought them outside and determined almost immediately they were homicide victims and the authorities were able to piece together the 911 call re the girl and her living there and her not being there.

This is awful. That poor kid.

And it makes one wonder what type of psychological testing the police do on candidates.
