No one is expecting a meal. It’s after lunch. It just seems weird not to have something to nibble on. Also the last gathering with this group at another home everyone stood around even though there was ample seating - I am trying to avoid any foods that need a fork.
Are you sure? I would expect lunch with a 1:00 start time.
