We realized what we were spending on audio books - and told my DD that she needed to use the library audio books and beyond that she got as a Christmas gift 1 book a month and if she wanted more she could use her allowance. A year later - she is using the library of 90% of her audio books.

He doesn’t like books and doesn’t really care about clothes or accessories, so he gets a little hard to buy for.
