my dog got his foot stuck in his wire crate and had a badly broken leg. we used a travel style plastic one after that and got rid of it altogether once he was safe on his own out of it.

Forgot to mention, love the garage door. Makes it look less crate-like, to the extent possible.

Thanks! I got sucked in by some of their scare tactic about wire crates.

I want to find a crate where I can put my hand in easily at night (from bed, if puppy is fussing) so will be looking.

We have a wire crate and a fabric crate. The amazon brand fabric crate has an opening at the top.

Thanks, I have seen the fabric amazon ones! May get one especially for car transport the first few months.

Not safe for the car. Get one crash tested.

I bought this but it was on back order and I ended up getting something else. As it turns out, we only crate our dog at night and have zero need to move the crate around the house or break it down/set up regularly. So this would have been a big waste of $!

She sleeps in it every night and we move it around a lot because my kids take turns having her in their rooms. The wheels are genius I like how they say it is easy to collapse one handed. I was looking at the large (for huge dogs) and it needs two people to assemble and everyone says they're heavy. Thanks for your insight!

I ask because this is the one we were looking at, but at the time they didn’t have the larger crate available, so we bought a small one for training our puppy and planned to move up to the Revol once it was available and he was bigger. I’m so glad we waited because my dog doesn’t need to be crated at all. He’s so calm and not at all destructive, so we would’ve wasted all that money. It’s expensive, but it looks really nice.

Thanks, it's a great idea to see if I'll use the crate long term before investing. It is for a growing puppy and of course the way they describe wire crates makes anyone nervous (paws getting stuck, etc).

I think I'll try with a regular crate and upgrade, if needed. I've seen some on FB marketplace and they came out with an Intermediate size (but it wasn't on sale probably because it is going to be the most popular)

^^you can open from above, and there is a "garage" door style plus front door. All of these things sound so cool, but not sure I can stomach the price.

but can be swayed!

Does anyone have a Diggs Revol crate and is it worth the money? The design is one huge selling point, and it's apparently safer for paws that the wire ones. Much heavier, though. I read you always have to size up.

They are EXPENSIVE. If I want a large to fit a lab, it is $675 (they have a sale for black Friday, $472 with coupon).
