We raise grass-fed beef and every Christmas we have a local couple who buy a half beef from us and give their adult kids each 1/8 of it as a family gift. I think it's a nice gift if you know the people you are giving it to would like it.

My DW is a steak lover and her sister sends them for her birthday every year.

Best part -- you get to melt the dry ice and make fog.

Has anyone given steaks as a holiday gift? I have a family member that is into cooking steaks and enjoys comparing sauces and different cuts and qualities of meat. I am thinking about getting him some high end steaks as a gift. I am not sure where to buy good steaks on line. (They would need to be shipped.)
