We use Meemic. It is an insurance for educators. We pay $600 a year for car insurance and our home insurance runs about $500. It's very good coverage, I can always get someone on the phone and cheap.

Switched from GEICO to Nationwide due to a huge increase.

Just switched from Geico to Selective. My premium dropped from $2000 to $1000 for 6 months for the exact same coverage.

USAA. They rebate a portion of your premiums annually.

I have been a progressive insurance customer for years. My rate has nearly doubled with no accidents, tickets and the same old car I drive. Six months of premiums used to be around $450 and I’ve just been quoted $785. I know inflation, car prices and labor costs have made insurance go up for everyone but I feel like it’s a lot for it to almost double. Does anyone have a company they like/recommend?
