You need overnites, not pull-ups. Overnites are meant to absorb. Pull-ups are meant for day training. And yes to making sure he’s pointed down.

We used a regular diaper. I also put a reusable incontinence sheet on the bed so the mattress didn’t get soaked if there was an accident.

His penis is pointing up from him playing with it. Ask me how I know. Sigh.

We had the same issue with pull-ups at night. Three things I suggest...
1. Switch to a regular diaper.
2. Make sure the leg barrier ruffles are up.
3. Make sure his hose is pointed down. My boys tend to fall asleep with there hand in there diapers so after they are asleep we have to check and usually adjust.

My oldest is school age but doing these things have stopped 99% of the leaks.

Make sure he is pointing down. And check after he falls asleep, he might be adjusting himself before he goes to sleep.

This PP has a very good point. It took me until almost less than a year before my kid was potty trained before I understood the point of those leg ruffles. They're supposed to be on the OUTSIDE.

OP, switch to a overnight diaper, make sure he's pointing down when you put it on, and snug up the tapes as much as you can without it being uncomfortable for him.

If his pullup is dry, then it's probably a fit issue, that's made worse by him sleeping on his stomach. It may just be that when he pees, it sneaks out the side without ever having a chance to be absorbed.

How old is he OP? If he'd tolerate it, I'd do as PP's have suggested and put him in a nighttime diaper. You can fasten up the tabs on those snug enough that you shouldn't have any gapping issues, no matter which way he sleeps.

Also, my son didn't mind the diapers even though he was older, but if your son resists maybe try putting tightish underwear on over the pull up? Or using two pull ups? The goal is to make it tight enough so that there are no gaps.

We struggled with this. It was an issue of fit. The thing that finally worked was putting him a diaper and then a pull up over it. The pull up seemed to hold the diaper in the right spot I also recall having to make sure that the "ruffles" in the legs of the diaper were sticking out of the pull up legs. It seemed counter intuitive, but it helped.

Just try different things. And if it continues once you are home get a few waterproof mattress pads and extra sheets so that you can just pull off the top wet layer at night and the bed will already be remade.

My son is potty trained, but still sleeps in a pull-up. In the last few weeks, he's taken to sleeping on his stomach. When he does this, his pull-up leaks if he goes in the middle of the night. The pull-up isn't soaked through, so it's not an overspill problem. In fact, they're usually close to dry - but the bed is soaked!

We use the Huggies pull-ups -- just the standard 'boy' ones. Has anyone had the same problem? What did you do? Are there any brands out there that work better? It's only a problem when he sleeps on his stomach.

(I don't need advice for getting him to stay dry all night -- he has some health issues at this point preventing that from being an option or goal - I just need a solution to the leaking.)
