We're having the girls in my daughter's K class over for a spa party at our home. Painting nails, soaking toes in pink water, and a yogurt "mask".

There are painting businesses like Muse Paintbar that host birthday parties. The birthday girl picks a picture for the group in advance of the party to paint on canvas with the help and encouragement of an employee/artist. Each kid gets to take their completed painting home to frame (if they want to frame it). It's in a separate room so you can bring the cake, food, favors, etc. We had a few parties there, and I think everyone had fun. My kids still have their paintings years later.

I used to work at a bead/jewelry store and we often had little girls' birthday parties. They would make a bracelet and it was always a huge hit.

Rec center indoor pool parties are popular in the colder months where I am (Loudoun). Bowling is pretty common, too.

DD5 has also been invited to a few “spa” parties at a local kids’ salon. They do the girls’ nails, some glitter on their faces, and then they have a dress up fashion show. You could do something similar at home!

Themed party at a rec center with an entertainer - dance, sports, whatever she likes. My DD still talks about a Descendants dance party she went to pre-pandemic.

+1. This is cute. When they are older, sledding or ice skating. Can't go wrong with an activity/outdoor free play then good food.

Where do you live? In Fairfax county, we used to do pool parties at the rec centers. I don't know if they're doing parties anymore though.

Planning my daughter’s winter birthday party. I am open to all girls or an all class party. I personally do not like trampoline or bounce house type parties.

Can you recommend some fun birthday party ideas for a kindergarten child?

I am open to hiring entertainment for our house or having the party at a venue. Not sure if I want 20 5-6 year olds at my house though.
