Hmm. A classic book like Little Women or the Harry Potter books? Something laugh out loud funny? ( See link below). My favorite recommendation — if you feel up to doing the exercises is The Artist’s Way.

I think your favorite books are often key during depressive phases. I re-read and find it really comforting. My go to books are by Lorrie Moore, Who Will Run The Frog Hospital, etc but its going to depend on what you find comfort in, to start with, I think.
