Yes, thermos. If you don’t have a large one, most insulated water bottles are good for hot beverages as well. Round up all that you have and see if it adds up to a bit over 2L. Most of my water bottles are 16 - 20 oz, so 4 of them would do it.

Put the entire crockpot inside a cheap styrofoam cooler. Lots of people have those sitting around from meal services.

Get one of those large pump thermos containers. I’ve used when I had to transport a large amount of hot chocolate for an event.

Thermos. If you don't have a thermos, in leakproof containers, wrapped in towels or beer cozies, inside a small cooler. A soft-sided lunch cooler is fine. If it's really cold outside, pop a couple of hot hands in there, too.

2L thermal coffee carafe

I think bringing it in jars (mason jars would work well) and heating it in a crockpot would be good if there is a place to plug it in.

A friend is having us over for an outdoor gathering and we are supposed to bring drinks. DH wants to make Gluehwein (about 2L) but I am not really sure how we will transport it. Thoughts?
