I love reading them too. I think it is because when I was growing up, I was often responsible for cooking dinner?

We have the exact opposite taste in reading material because I hate when a cookbook (or blog) is ruined by commentary other than the recipe and tips for the recipe. The stories they tell tend to be great in between the recipes . Naturally reading recipes is boring . The frugal gourmet books are such fun reads.
