Made pie crust dough (chilling overnight)
Made cranberry sauce
Have stuffing bread cut and drying out.

That’s about it.

I don’t do anything special with the turkey bc it is just extra work and I can’t tell any difference. I just or it dry, rub it with butter and salt and pepper right before putting in oven

Cranberry sauce
Compound butter
Pumpkin cheesecake
Roasted beets for beet-arugula salad
Browned onion gravy (NYT Umami Gravy)

Lots to do tomorrow, but my mom and siblings are each bringing a dish.

Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving!

Wait…don’t you need to cook the Turkey in order to make the gravy?

Enjoying a glass of wine while I work on pumpkin cheesecake bars .

Torn bread is drying out for stuffing, thanksgiving slaw is in the fridge. Pie dough is made, but we'll bake the pies in the morning while the turkey is on the grill. For now, turkey is brining. It's the calm before the storm.

Lol, I just finished a margarita - cheers, OP!

Cranberry sauce is made and in the fridge
Ditto the NYT cranberry curd tart, with some modifications
Pumpkin pies are cooling on the counter
Stuffing has been prepped for tomorrow
Turkey is also in the fridge - planning to put it in at 8:30
Apples are sliced and chilling, as is the caramel sauce. I’ll put the pie in early tomorrow
Dressing is ready for the salad I’m making - will shred the cabbage and assemble tomorrow

That’s mostly it. We have the makings for a great cheese plate pre-dinner. Drinks also cooling. My mom is bringing mashed and sweet potatoes.

Good luck, all!

What have you done so far?

Wednesday evening and I'm sitting down with a glass of scotch. This evening, I have made:

1 apple pie
1 batch of brownies
1 plate of veggie puff pastry appetizers (prepped and frozen to be baked on *Friday* for post-T-day festivities)
1 wrapped brie (en croute, to be slid into the oven and served as an app tomorrow)
