My kids love sausage rolls. Super easy -- sausage meat, some thyme, chopped onion inside and roll them up inside the pastry and use kitchen scissors to cut to desired size. Top with an egg wash and some sesame seeds before baking.
They freeze well too!

Was going to suggest this too, and you can also make a sweet version. . . any kind of jam, sugar/nuts/cinnamon/butter, Nutella - many options!

Super simple, but I often make “breadsticks” with it for snack boards. Roll out, slice, brush lightly with olive oil, and sprinkle with your favourite toppings - shredded cheese, herbs, seeds like poppy or sesame. You can also make tiny crackers with it - same process, using tiny cookie or fondant cutters.

I also make mini bierrocks - fill puff pastry dumpling sized with cabbage, onions, ground beef.

Cut squares, turn up the edges, put a piece of ham on the bottom and and an egg on the top. Yiu can also use it to line muffin tins and fill with spinach, ham, and crack and egg / top with cheese.

Also, cut into squares and fill with Nutella or your favourite pie filling, top with coarse sugar for mini turnover.

Yeah, we use a lot of puff in this house!

I love puff pastry. You can just bake it in a sheet (leave a raised border around the edge and prick the middle) and then top with herbed goat or cream cheese and thinly sliced zucchini for a nice lunch or appetizer.
For the holidays I always make little puffs filled with different savory Indian fillings - paneer, spiced potato, etc.

I make puff pastry ham-and-swiss all the time. It's my go-to for guests. It works as an appetizer, brunch or light lunch. It takes about two minutes to assemble after thawing the pastry.

NY times has a good recipe for a skillet chicken pot pie with a puff pastry crust. I also do various puff pastry savory turnovers to serve with soup.

Apples turnovers:

I usually skip the glaze because I'm lazy, and they are sweet enough without it.

I bought a box of the puffed pasty sheets on a whim. What are some good recipes/ideas to use them?

Especially interested in things my kids will eat or that I can put into their lunch
