NP here. If they don’t provide local percentiles, how do you know if your kid meets the school’s cut-off? Sorry, we are new to all of this.
You don’t, until you get (or don’t get) the in-pool letter. But the local percentiles they used to provide wouldn’t have helped anyway. Those were FCPS-wide. What matters now is each individual elementary. You can ask your AART but there’s a good chance they don’t know yet either. Last year the AARTs seemed to know very little.

Thanks! That helps! With my oldest, who is now in middle school, I think they came at the same time but I wasn't sure if that changed.

I got the COGAT score report yesterday. It was sent home in my child's folder, but nothing about being in pool. The score report did not even include any local score percentages, just grade percentile ranks.

If I remember the timeline correctly for 20-21, in-pool notification was sent out in Feb or so and then level IV acceptance letter was sent in April, however it sounds reasonable for earlier announcements as Cogat scores are released earlier.
That timeline was Covid specific. In Pool letters come out in December. But you should always parent refer if you think your kid should be in aap.

Last yr pool letters came first, in early December. Then we got COGAT scores around 12/10, 5 days before apps were due

I think pp was confusing AAP acceptance notification with in-pool notification. Either way, it doesn’t matter and AART will tell you that you should fill out the referral packet whether DC is in pool or not.
