Subject: You Tube Streaming App
A family member has it. She liked it because she has two homes and just one account; had two separate cable accounts before. She did have to get separate internet, like AT&T but I think the two together were still less than cable.

The multiple app issue doesn’t bother me because there are multiple apps/purchases needed when you have cable if you want to watch Netflix/Disney+/Hulu/HBO Max etc.
Also, I’ve never had an issue with a guide lagging or app issues. That is likely an issue with internet speed or age of device that is being used to watch the show.

I’ve used YouTube Tv for 4 years now. I absolutely love it for the convenience of no devices, unlimited DVR, can watch on the go or any smart tv/phone etc. I just wish they had the History Channel.

You still need internet. So the equation becomes, is the cost of appropriate internet plan and the cost whatever streaming service really saving you money over current costs of singular provider.
You also need to be honest with yourself about what you really want. Most people I know that go this route, end up with multiple streaming packages to get everything they want.
The other piece of advise I can give you is to truly test drive the service with whatever hardware you will actually be using to view streaming service/services. The lag just when switching channels or queuing up the guide is painful on most platforms.

Subject: You Tube Streaming App
A number of friends are cutting their TV cables and switching to You Tube streaming app to save money. I now have Verizon Fios.
Anybody here make a switch to the You Tube app or other wise have any information whether that's a good move or not?
Complicated ? Picture quality? What add ons to pay for?
You Tube says something like subscription comes with ability to watch on 6 TVs but only 3 streams. Anyone know what that mean?
