But will this work for cashmere/wool sweaters?

I have a bunch of it and I’m waiting for my refund. I don’t understand how it’s dangerous if it’s used in warm water and rinsed but ok.

FYI, they've posted a lift of affected products and a way to get a refund on their website.

Dr Bronners regular castille soap is excellent on stains. I scrub stain with soap, rinse warm or hot water. Works on blood too. But I use their Sal Suds in machine.

Please throw these in the trash and do not dump them into the water supply. Pine Sol has a similar recall because of antibiotic resistant bacteria.

This probably means they just got the PH wrong and since it’s laundry soap, I don’t see how it could be a safety issue. Don’t eat it. If it smells off, toss it.

https://www.thecut.com/2022/11/the-laundress-tells-customers-to-stop-using-luxury-detergent.html

My shipment just arrived this week-- saw this randomly.

Here is a snippet from the article:
On Thursday, the Laundress New York, the all-natural detergent and home-goods brand with a cultlike following, posted an infographic to its Instagram with its logo and the phrase “Safety Notice.” In the caption, the company warned its customers to stop using all the Laundress products “immediately,” as the brand had “identified the potential presence of elevated levels of bacteria in some of our products that present a safety concern.” The post went on to say the team was so far unaware of any adverse health impacts and would let consumers know which products were impacted and how to get reimbursed “as soon as possible.” The company also sent an email blast.
