I feel like everything I know (as the parent of a junior) I am learning from everywhere except the high school. They paid for the PSAT. I didn't realize they don't also pay for the SAT. I didn't know which deadlines were coming and that testing sites for spring 2023 are already full. I feel like I'm flying blind. Is this par for the course for public school? I read all the emails from the counseling office, and I attended one workshop run by the Princeton Review people. But I feel like I'm missing the basics. And yes, I know it's my responsibilty and not the school's, but even a timeline of tests and application dates and what to expect when would help.
