I haven't heard anything to suggest Raskin doesn't have wide popularity, but even if you are correct, I believe if there was a decision to go with only one white candidate (again I don't think so) they would primary Van Hollen when he's up for reelection and keep Raskin.

I would enthusiastically vote for Raskin, but it would be an interesting race to follow, especially if it were a red-leaning year. Raskin would win the DC suburbs by enormous margins, but I'm not sure how he'd do statewide. He's very MoCo-style liberal.

Agreed that it would be between two mindblowingly competent candidates, which is why it's not going to happen. Hogan seems bent on his quixotic run for president. Raskin I could see go for the Senate if the Republicans were set to keep the house and therefore he wouldn't be a contender for a committee chair position (or the speakership, who knows).

Yeah, no way I'd let Hogan vote on Supreme Court nominees or abortion legislation. When push comes to shove he'll fold to the right wing nut jobs. His writing in "Reagan" was frankly a lame.

Raskin helped save democracy and actually, Hogan did similar on Jan 6th. However, since then Hogan if he could have would do an abortion ban and a contraceptive ban so hell no to Hogan. Hogan is my governor I was a Republican when I voted for him.

I will never in my life vote for a Republican ever again. The Democratic candidate can be shit and I would never give that party a vote.

Republicans killed over 1 million Americans with their lies, stole taxpayers hard earned monies, and siphoned off 9/11 funds in NY to the tune of $4 million. The fact Republicans want to take our social security and all civil rights away is a reason to never vote for one again including Hogan. Most importantly Republcians are still fueling lies to kill off Democracy. That alone is what our Military dies for I for one will never ever trust a Republcian again. Even in this voting cycle they sued to have MILITARY VOTES not count. What AMERICAN PATRIOT does that?
