You know what places don’t have nearly as many deer collisions? Rural places where deer are hunted every year and their population is kept in check.

Most of the other grill guard type products that fit typical mainstream SUV’s sold in the US are cosmetic only. They look impressive but they’re actually quite flimsy and won’t provide much in the way of protection against damage from a deer. You’ll still have lots of damage even with such a product.
