Just stop. Climate change cannot be linked to any particular storm. This year has not had a lot of storms. 2 a year in Floriday is not a lot. 1901 there were 4. Can't blame that on climate change. This is a very normal/average year. Climate change not really likely to impact Florida that much in any event.

Their public schools were open in most of the counties during the Covid while FCPS shut schools down for full year. You can totally recovery after the hurricane losses, but your child will never recover from the lost development and will be behind for a long time.

This. But OP knows that hurricanes aren't a big deal for most Floridians. Lots of people on this board are furious about people electing DeSantis, hence the attempt to shame Floridians the day after his landslide victory.

The vast majority of people in Florida did not take a direct hit or two direct hit from these hurricanes. It's not like the entire State got wiped away by a hurricane. I'm in the Tampa Bay area right now and it's just sort of gently raining with a little breeze occasionally.

And it never snows here, which is awesome!

We have family who have lived there for 20+ yrs. Every year or two they get a tropical storm and they lived through Ivan but for the most part it's low COL, lovely weather and for them a friendly place. They live about 15mi inland so things like storm surges aren't a worry for them.
