I think no company is going to do the encapsulation until it’s dug out completely. Would it be possible to find someone like on thumbtack to do the digging?

Our house was completely renovated 6 years ago (before we owned it). So the woodwork is actually new but it’s frustrating that they didn’t dig out the crawl space at the time. If I pull up the flooring now I will also have to move appliances- big job.

It's horrible, back-breaking work but any willing person can do it. You are better off removing your flooring and sub-flooring to gain access from above. Then you can also more easily do the woodwork repairs that I'll bet you need also and it will be a lot easier for the crew to encapsulate the crawl.

I want to have my crawl space dug out so that it can be encapsulated. It’s only partially dig out (2 feet is the deepest) and the most shallow points are only 5”. I’m having a really hard time finding anybody who will do this. Any suggestions on companies, people
Would be greatly appreciate!
