I'd keep in mind time of the party as well. If travel to or from would be close to lunch, I'd stock up on extra snacks.

I'd drive 30 minutes for a child of a very good friend. If not, no more than 20. Convenience is the most important thing. A good time can be haved almost anywhere.

Depends on the closeness of the friendship as much as the distance of the venue. We'll drive 1-2 hours for a good friend.

If it is a venue that holds appeal for all of my kids the drive would not bother me.

How far have I gone? An hour, but it was to a really cool fall festival type place that we'd never been to before, the invitation was for the whole family, and it was for a friend we don't see that often anymore.

That’s fine especially if you allow siblings.

30-60 minutes if it's a morning party. We don't have as much leeway to travel in the afternoons because naps are iffy and I don't want a long trip home if my kid tips the overtired threshold at the party.

About an hour.

How far would you travel for a kids birthday party? There’s a venue we really like but it’s 20-25 min from our neighborhood, where most of DD’s friends also live. I feel like 20 is reasonable but 25 may be pushing it, as arbitrary as that sounds.

The kids will be between 3 and 4 so it’s not a drop off party and space allows for siblings, if that matters.
