two granola bars, pb&j sandwich for lunch. Water would be my problem. I usually drink alot of water but can't be getting up too often can I.

For the primary I didn’t get home until midnight, and I am anticipating that might be the case again this time.

I usually bring the election workers snacks when I come to vote. I was told this year it's no longer allowed. This is in Loudoun County.

Thank you for this. My son is working the polls (AP Gov requirement) and we knew that he had to bring food, but I hadn't started to think through the logistics. He's on first shift, so has to be there at 5:00. Maybe I'll take them some doughnuts and coffee later in the morning (thanks for that suggestion, PP).

Yes, I’ve brought fresh bagels and cream cheese for everyone. I also like to make cookies the day before and have them out on a plate for other workers to enjoy throughout the day.

In terms of dinner, I usually eat a couple of granola bars around when we close at 7 and then eat something more substantial when I get home about 9:30 or 10:00. There usually isn’t much time to eat an actual dinner as we get close to closing and then need to start right in with the closing activities at 7.

My spouse and I are both election officers, sometimes at the same precinct, sometimes at different ones, but we tend to be a bit “wired” when we finally get home, so we like to eat, watch the election returns, and share our observations about how the day went.

If it's as you say, I would buy a giant box of pastries to share and those group-sized containers of coffee from Dunkin Donuts (with the cups, stirrers, napkins and creamers), in addition to making myself three separate lunchbox meals. Sandwiches for me, since I love sandwiches

Sesame noodles could sit unrefrigerated all day and be eaten at room temperature.

It’s a super long day, so I try to have something to look forward to meal wise throughout the day. However, I learned in the primary it needs to be easy and fast.
So far I am planning yogurt and raspberries for breakfast, and I will go tomorrow and pick up a croissant or two (or more— I also learned last time that half the workers show up with no food and don’t realize they can’t leave).
For lunch I am bringing Tom ka soup with tofu, and a salad with greens, feta, pecans, and cranberries.
Will also bring a few oat bars. But kind of stuck on dinner. Anyone have a good, easy, fine if it’s been sitting all day option? I think there might be a microwave, but not sure about a fridge (I have a cooler bag, so I can keep things somewhat cool).
