Maybe UNC Asheville?

Muhlenberg is a great suggestion, OP. Lots of artsy majors, pretty campus, not insanely difficult to get into.

TCNJ is not “indie” in the least. It’s a state school with lots of preprofessionals and pretty high admissions standards. What a weird suggestion.

Mary Washington doesn’t have a Greek system by the way although it’s true the vibe probably isn’t very indie but I wouldn’t call it preppy either from what I understand.

Elizabethtown, though it may be smaller than you're looking for. They give terrific merit aid, too.

I was going to suggest Randolph Macon. I friend's child goes there, she's never mentioned Greek life or "preppy" ness.

DD looking for a school similar in size and admission criteria as CNU, Mary Washington, Randolph Macon, Longwood but with more of an “Indie” scene as opposed to a Greek based school. Does a school like this exist in Virginia or close by?
