It’s highly competitive. Your kid should know a second language, but it isn’t required. Be comfortable that this is an International baccalaureate education, which is not for everyone. They start teaching college level stuff in high school and it is very demanding. It’s not your average high school, and not comparable to any other school in DC. It is unique and stands on its own. If you want a more globally focused, extremely challenging education for your child then consider WIS. It is not a typical American high school, and the mentalities that come with it.
