It depends on how you qualified. I can’t. Navy Fed let me have an account as the parent of someone who qualified - USAA won’t. Spouses and children of military can qualify for USAA, but not parents.!

My husband (military member) is very loyal to them but I'm meh- I've found higher rates elsewhere. I had 60j worth of CD's that matured and I got 5x+ interest rate through fidelity. My husband has an account in our son's name there worth 5k and it makes me sick it's yielding so little but my husband refuses to move it anywhere else.

We’ve been with them for over 35 years, but I’m not a fan.

I’m not sure if another bank would be any better, so I’ll stay with NFCU.

I love NFCU. Have a checking, savings, CD, credit card, mortgage, and car loan through them. They have been great for the 25 years I have used them.

Have been a member my whole life. And it’s been my main bank my entire adult life (30 years). Never had a problem.

Navy federal is an amazing bank. The cash back CC is 1.75. The only thing I don't is zelle its very complex opposed to BofA.

NFCU member, move $ into and from Amex HYSA all the time. Basically it takes 1 day. No issues with ACH. Live near the Vienna Hq so I use the ATM’s there but honestly don’t need ATM’s much. They can notarize anything for free at the counter and that has been helpful as I have been settling an estate. I don’t use 3rd party bill pay. I wish they still had the coin counting machine…

I’m fed up with my big banks and have an account sitting at NFCU. Anyone have experience using NFCU as your primary checking account? I’ve seen mixed reviews online about difficulty transferring money in and out of the accounts (to external financial institutions - HYS at AMEX). I need ACH payments, third party bill pay, and ATM access. Any insights would be appreciated before I start the process of changing things over. Thanks!
