Get her pituitary checked.

My cousin shot up in height very quickly, went through puberty very early, and started getting grey hair as a 10 year old. Doctors found a tumor on his pituitary.

My 3 year old dd has one grey hair. I haven't pulled it. My guess is it's just a dead follicle. I wouldn't worry.

Here mentions possible celiac disease, thyroid issues, dementia, autoimmune problem or nothing. Can I wait till next time annual checkup (6 months later) to mention about this or should I schedule a doctor consultation now?

What could they do for DD? Blood work?

I’m also Asian and my mom pulled a white hair out of my head when I was about 8 because it disturbed her. Then I had no more white hairs for 30 years! I’ve now seen about 10 white hairs in the past year. I didn’t think I’d be vain about that because I don’t even wear make up post pandemic. But it disturbed me so I pulled them out. It does look weird on Asian people who aren’t old. I’ve had zero health problems but my thyroid did get sluggish in my late 30s.

I wouldn't pull it, I would cut it.

Why would you do that, are you concerned it's impacting her youthful good looks? Leave this poor baby alone alone. If you're going to the doctor, you need to show them what you're talking about. If something is wrong it can be fixed but if it's just the way her hair grows it's really crazy to me that you're pulling out hairs that offend your sense of style from a preschooler's head.

My friend had one of these in the shape of Africa.

Make sure they get necessary vitamins and consult your physician if you’re concerned.

Ask the doctor about testing her thyroid. Premature gray can be a sign. My guess is the doctor will brush it off, but keep it in mind. Also, iron or b12 deficiency.

Look up poliosis- it's like a birthmark but in hair. My friend has a white streak in her hair from it- not harmful or a sign of something wrong. I think it looks really cool.

I would mention it to her doctor. I don’t want to speculate since I am not a doctor, but I think premature grey or white hair can sometimes by an indicator of some underlying issue. My aunt got a streak of white hair and it ended up being related to her early onset dementia.

Should I be concerned? We have dark black hair, and no history of both side of families with Grey Hair at young age. Both families does not have Grey hair like till 50s.

Is that a sign of malnutrition? I do notice that hair color of DD4 is a bit more brownish than DH and I. Everyone in the family has black hair because we are all Asian with no interracial marriage for many generations.
