Subject: MCPS Elementary Grades - where are they coming from?
From how the GPA is calculated, it seems like they just average across all the grades listed. For Eureka assessments, I see a separate grade for each question - that's how they weight the tests more than the quizzes.

In elementary school, teachers make sure that the students who were absent take the assessments and submit assignments once they return to school. I have not heard of any elementary schooler’s missing assignments bringing their grades down.
In early es a lot of it is just made up too since there are rarely any objective metrics

Subject: MCPS Elementary Grades - where are they coming from?
Do MCPS elementary schools have a way to show parents and students which assignments are rolling up to calculate the grades, the same way MS and HS classes do in ParentVue? (The only thing I see for my ES student is just one grade per class vs the other MCPS schools where we have visibility into all assignment grades, so that my MS and HS students can see and understand how their grades are being calculated.) How do you know if an ES student has, for example, a missing assignment that is bringing their grade down?
