He favors retrocession which is decidedly not statehood. Putting District residents in an existing state is not granting them the autonomy of statehood under our constitutional system.

Krukoff. And I’ve never voted Republican before. Frumin seems like a decent and knowledgeable guy. But we don’t need 13 Frumins on the Council. We desperately need some diversity of thought to prevent the progressives from turning DC into the next Portland or SF which are completely unlivable for families.

Didn't we learn our lesson with "let's upend things because we're upset?" after the last president? It really didn't work out well. It's ok to go with someone good enough and willing to listen to our ideas when we disagree.

He is a genuinely nice guy, he has worked hard during this election season talking to residents at Farmers Markets every weekend, and really has nuanced understanding of the various issues.
I don't agree with him on everything, but he is respectful and willing to listen and learn.

In yet another corner, we have the libertarian candidate whose inkjet printed signs that lack required financial disclosures indicate that he will end the (nonexistent) mask mandates.

Full disclosure: I'm going with Frumin, but the chaos monkey inside me wants to vote for the libertarian who is running opposed to something that doesn't exist. I don't respect the libertarian enough to look his name up, but I do love his campaign that presupposes a reality that doesn't exist.
