Teach your kids to cook for themselves if they’re old enough

We grill a lot: burgers, chicken, steak, kabobs, lamb, salmon.
Roast: Meat, chicken, turkey, vegetables

Might like Instapot roast beef or chicken, the sauce can be basically broth with the meat taken out of it.

Fried rice or stir fry, pull out plainer mix and then add sauce.

Tacos, sandwiches, and other bars keep things separate

I think you need to stop catering to all three kids. As long as there is something on the plate you know they will eat. So if one kid eats the grain/veg but not the protein one night he’ll be fine. Do the protein he likes the next night. Or let them have the option of a PB sandwich or cheese stick if they don’t like what’s on the plate.

Salmon with rice and broccoli. We marinate our salmon in pesto, if that’s too saucy leave his plain.

Do you eat fish?

You can try different seasonings on the chicken to change things up a bit, if he’d be ok with that. A BBQ seasoning one night, herb blend another, etc.

he and i eat fish. one of the other kids doesn't. i have 3 kids and collectively they're so annoying to feed, overall they all have fairly healthy diets, but there is almost no overlap in meals they will eat! pasta used to be the go-to but the baby won't touch it for some reason

I do a broccoli pasta for my son who is the same. A little garlic paste, olive oil, grated Parmesan and quick fried broccoli (small, chopped).

Everyone eats it, it's not just for him.

Spaghetti and meatballs, sauce on the side.
White people tacos

one of my kids won't do any sauces or dips. because of that we are in such a dinner rut of plain chicken, roasted veg, side of pasta or grain. Even he's tired of it. I both dislike cooking and am not very good at it so I need very easy ideas where the sauce can be separate but gets us out of the rut
