I've heard there is benefits in paying the first of the month for mortgage!

What benefits are you talking about? Do you mean if the mortgage is due on the 1st of the month, you actually do the payment only on the 1st of the month?

Me either. It would be too easy to skip looking at the bills and also over draw my account.

My savings is linked to my checking so if the checking overdraws it automatically pulls from the savings to cover it.

I schedule them as they come in to be paid on the due date because I want to earn as much interest on my money as I can.

It just occurred to me, but I use auto-billing for most of my bills-- mortgage, internet, insurance, cell, and all my subscriptions (Netflix, Prime, Hulu etc.). The only bill that I don't autopay is Pepco and that's because it fluctuates.

Everything on autopay, on whatever the latest due date is the company will allow.

But I'm also a religious Quicken user, so I know exactly where my finances are at (and will be at) at all times. Paychecks go into the register two weeks before they arrive, autopays go into the register the day I receive the bill (post-dated to the day they will actually happen). Other large upcoming payments (taxes, etc) get put into the register post-dated as well.

Mortgage payment at the beginning of the month and all others (credit cards, 529, car payment, water, gas, electricity, etc) spread out through the rest of the month.

I only use autobilling for my phone bill, hulu, netflix, and prime. They are all taken out at different times of the month. Everything else I pay manually.

I get paid every other Friday, so the paychecks move around from month to month. I scheduled my mortgage (the big bill) to go out on the 7th and the rest on the 21st.

I time them so they are paid the day after I receive my paycheck.

In the beginning, middle, or end of month? I dont know if possible, but I would like to bunch them very close together just for simplicity and ease of of verifiying everything,
any pros/cons, tips, suggestions, or am I just wasting my time on this?
I know this is a trivial issue, but I am organizing paperwork, eliminating use of some credit cards, cancelling subscriptions I dont use, etc.
There is just too much stuff to keep track of, because I feel compelled to check my major credit cards and checking/banking almost every day to ensure I have no fraud.
