Waking up a sleeping child in the MOTN for no other reason than to take them to the bathroom is incredibly, mind-numbingly stupid.
By doing that, you're
1.) Training them to dependent on others for their bathroom needs
2.) Teaching them that it is 'normal' to wake up in the night to pee (for kids, it is 100% NOT)
3.) Depriving them of a good nights' rest during a critically important developmental phase of their lives
Anyone that says it's a good idea to wake up your kid for a bathroom trip is just plain wrong.
