I remember a lot of rainy Halloweens in recent years, your kids must be very young. No great solution other than umbrellas and rain coats.

Everyone will still go trick or treating but not for as long. This will affect more out-of-the-way houses down long driveways or houses on blocks with hardly any kids, but all the regular busy neighborhoods will still be busy unless there are strong thunderstorms or outright downpours (I don't think either are expected).

I would probably do that if it were raining, because trick-or-treating in the rain sounds awful to me.

No one has ANY idea? LOL. Oh boy, what do you think meteorologists do?

They predict the weather, but their predictions are basically guesses a week out. I know because I asked a forecaster from NOAA this question in court under oath during a trial two years ago.

The weather forecast for a week from now is not that reliable. However, if it does rain well still trick or treat and just have umbrellas and ponchos

Bring an umbrella. It’s ideal for parents because kids won’t want to stay out as long, as least mine won’t. We have done it a couple of times in significant rain over the years.

When it rained on Halloween some years ago, my kids got tons of candy in a short time because people were eager to give it away. Win win!

As someone who grew up trick-or-treating in the sleet (or sometimes snow) every year of elementary school, I say go out in the rain. It's fun (for the kids at least). Parent who stays home to hand out candy should have cocoa ready for when the trick or treaters get home.

It’s been years I feel like. It has to have been. It’s supposed to rain (as of now) Monday evening/Halloween.

Are you still trick or treating in the rain?
