You should check out MRM’s 2010 team. I’ve heard great things about the coaching although not sure where they are based.

I would definitely look at FCGB. They do alot right at the younger ages, and mostly with Girls as well. I guess you could also consider Brit-Am/Potomac as well, but not sure that will help your distance problem any

Sitting in traffic to and/or from practice is just part of the soccer world in the DMV.

Rockville to the Soccerplex is not that bad. And the older they get, the later they tend to practice so wont be long until youre headed north later in the evening.

RTE 28 to Riffle Ford Road puts you right at Soccerplex. Even in traffic, that is a 30 minute drive at most and totally worth it based on what you are looking for.

unfortunately there aren't many options. As you get older, you will find most kids practice until 9 p.m. you can try MSI Classic teams.

What area of the county are you looking for? That might impact other’s suggestions.

My DD plays for a fairly serious smaller club in EDP. She is 2010. The practices are 3x weekly and are all over the place, and can run late (past 9pm). She has other commitments and is thinking about finding a team with a close consistent practice location, a little less competitive environment so the girls aren’t pitted against each other, yet good coaching and a decent team. She is very skilled and smart on the field but not a large, athletic player. Any thoughts?
