My very picky kid with very wide feet really likes Under Armour sneakers in wide.

Maybe Uggs in the winter? I realize those are still boots and not a sneaker. My kid likes them because they are easy to pull on (which is the main selling point on crocs too).

I do not think Vans run wide. They aren't super narrow, but I would not say wide.

My DD is VERY sensitive to what she wears on her feet too and has a SUPER x-wide foot. . Funnily enough, we found the walmart "fuzzy boots" weren't too bad, but DD said her feet got too hot. So we only wear those in freezing cold temps. My DD looves these type of slip-on shoes https://www.walmart.com/ip/Avia-Women-s-Slip-On-Sneaker-Wide-Width-Available/226831343 but in a wide. She said it's kind of like a slipper. We also looove the New balance 680 brand (we buy men's, but who cares).

Would you think maybe a slip on hiking shoe like this might work? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0007SZ51E/ref=twister_B01AMSKJ7S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It was a LOT of returning and whatnot from zappos, but we found something that sorta works.

Go onto Zappos and filter for adaptive shoes. Or go to ShoeTrain.

Thank you, will check out both! PPs, I tried the furry crocs last year and she hated them, go figure.

That’s good to know! I toyed with buying a pair for the weekends but am afraid that will just confuse my dd. She’s finally ok in non-crocs so I have to keep up the momentum with the new shoes. Good luck, I can’t tell you how many pairs I’ve gone through. Some I was able to return, but some my dd wore foe about 5 seconds out of the house before she developed some aversion to them.

Mine just wears socks with the crocs. Luckily it’s a trend in middle school- crocs with high Nike socks.

Jambu used to make a fuzzy-lined slip-on that my DD loved, but that was a few years ago, so not sure about current availability or sizing. Might be worth a Zappos search, though.

My picky kid wears UGG slippers in the winter. They look like clogs and are wide.

Crocs makes snow boots and slip on shoes. Could she wear wool socks on the average winter days here and snow boots on the extra cold days?

I have Crocs with fuzzy lining for walking the dog. Could something like that work?

Hi everyone - 5 year old DD has sensory challenges and footwear is a struggle. We basically have two options that don’t require a tremendous amount of parental patience to get on: Crocs and Rain Boots.

Have any of you found sneaker type shoes that fit like Crocs? I’d love to have one other option for the fall/winter months other than rain boots.

She definitely has wider feet (so looking for W sizes) and slightly high arches. We have sketchers slip ons that are a bit too narrow. Do Vans run wider? Any other brands you have had success with? I’d love to find a shoe she actually likes to put on, like the Crocs.

Thanks everyone
