Pigs in blankets were a hit at a recent party. You can get a box of frozen ones, or wrap hot dogs / cocktail wieners (depending on where you want more of an appetizer or a meal) in refrigerated crescent roll dough.

We went with Jersey Mike subs (Jimmy Johns was closed the day before the party when I went in to place an order.) Worked out well. I also ordered some cheese pizzas as a second option. A lot of kids had a small sub and a slice.

Oh really? I was thinking the pinwheels because they are so cute but just wondered if they are hard to eat. Kids wouldn’t eat those?

Most won’t. Sorry. I don’t think you’re hearing what you want to hear.
Grab a bag of chicken nuggets if you don’t want pizza. Don’t overthink this. Their mac n cheese is very very heavy.

I’m ok with alternatives. Just tired of pizza. What about subway or jimmy johns?

I would do a 10-noon party and serve muffins (cut the big ones into quarters, mini bagels, fruit bowl, mini quiches, water for the kids and coffee for the parents.

I have made my own sandwich platter, but the mac and cheese and Cesar salad are my go to. Subway sandwiches are usually eaten. I usually do a mix of pizza, subway and a salad and other snacks. I am surprised people say it doesn't get eaten because at my parents eat but I put it on the invitation so people know we are feeding kids and adults.

This is OP. I know there are nut allergies in the class so nuts are out. But I thought Mac and cheese would be fun and unobjectionable.

We've served their mac and cheese at a kid party, and it was a hit.

Pinwheel platter or croissant sandwich platter?

Veggie tray? Fruit bowl?

Mac and cheese?

I am browsing for a winter party for my 1st grader. It’s hard to know what’s best because my kid will eat anything… I have to tell him to not eat stuff he’s dropped on the floor.
