OP's point is that walking past Fannie Mae, taking a left, then taking a left again to loop around is pretty indirect and adds nearly five minutes to the walk. That's entirely true, and it would be a real pain for people coming up from Cleveland, Woodley, or other neighborhoods south.
I've been assuming that the Fannie Mae lobby will be open to the public as a passthrough since it's supposed to be retail or commercial space. I don't know, because I haven't been in that part of City Ridge.
Taco Bamba is going to have the exact same problem when it opens on the southeast corner of City Ridge. They can't expect people to walk all the way around Fannie Mae for eating and shopping. While we're talking about minutes, each counts in urban planning.
