Surely Wine is an alcohol removed wine that is the closest to the real thing. They have improved their red, and it’s not bad, but their sparkling is the dryest. They don’t have the “bite” of alcohol, but they aren’t sweet - they taste like real wine and pair well with food.

I find kombucha to be a good wine replacement. There are different flavors that can be sweet or dry and kombucha has that fermented flavor.

It’s not similar in flavor profile, but spicy Jamaican ginger beer has a bold taste. I like it with unsweetened cranberry juice and a squeeze of lime.

My body has basically given up processing alcohol, so even half a glass of good wine leaves me feeling crappy. As a result, I’ve stopped drinking alcohol. This is mostly fine, but lately I’ve been really craving a glass of dry, full bodied red wine.

Any ideas for something to scratch that itch?
