Also, almond butter is a good add-in. As is soy milk. Soy milk + orange juice makes most any smoothie taste like a creamsicle.

Maybe others aren't as bothered by viscousness as I am, but that does not sound good at all to me.

I think protein powders are unregulated and independent testing found high heavy metals in many brands. I would avoid, especially for kids.

Qwest protein always has a pleasing taste to me. Just a basic vanilla will do.

My kids drink Evolve protein shakes (I split one between the two of them and add a shot of heavy cream for extra healthy fats but you could skip that). Also Orgain plant-based or Ripple protein shakes. They don't like the OWYN ones.

So one DC has become pretty firmly vegetarian and so I’m trying to pack in more protein/ iron in breakfast smoothies—but the protein & fiber powder aisle is so overwhelming. Help! I would like something basically tasteless or pleasant (for a kids limited palate)! Any recs? I do use Greek yogurt already and DCs will tolerate a small amount of silken tofu but otherwise I haven’t had much luck with high-protein adds!
